Orthoweb ID converter click to see the instruction Short instruction To convert identifiers from gene names to KEGG put the genes into the form or upload the file, choose the organism and click "Convert" button.
The web form is used if file hasn't been uploaded. The form input will be ignored if the file has been uploaded.
To choose organism which genes has to be converted use the drop-down list (with model organisms) or put it's code manually in the form. To find the correct code you can use the link below with all organisms, presented in KEGG.
After these steps click the convert button and wait a little. The result of the work are 3 files zipped in one archive.
First file (with the same name as input file or "form.txt" if the input has been from web form) contains the list of genes with definitely found identifiers. You can use this file as input for Orthoweb.
The file "not_found_genes.txt" contains the genes, which Orthoweb couldn't find the identifiers. If the file contains only header then all genes were found.
The file "multiple_id_found_genes.txt" contains the genes, for which Orthoweb couldn't find the primary identifier. If the file contains only header then such genes were not found. You can manually add correct identifier into the main output file.
